CPA's Ocho Rios Plenary Called for a Shared Caribbean AI Framework. CAIRMC's 82-Article Standard Is Already Open for Comment.

At the CPA's 48th Regional Conference on 1 September 2026, Jamaica's Minister without Portfolio Andrew Wheatley called for a shared CARICOM AI framework anchored in UNESCO's ethics recommendation. CAIRMC's own Caribbean AI Risk Management Standard, 82 articles across four risk tiers mapped to NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, COSO ERM, and Basel guidance, was already open for public comment, built on the evidence base of Chairman Adrian Dunkley's StarApple AI and his 2026 UWI Mona Rising Star Award.
